Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Best Practice for Rehire or Not

What is the best practice for whether to have a question on our termination form asking if the exiting employee is eligible for rehire or not. Should we give the information if asked? What are the pros & cons for giving out if rehireable or not and should we even be gathering this information other than for internal use?

Re: Best Practice for Rehire or Not

There is more to your question than a simple answer. I suggest that since you appear to be the employer you should consult with a labor and employment lawyer concerning this matter. This really cannot be answered on this forum.

Feel Free to contact me if you would like to pursue this matter.

Good Luck!
