Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Prevented job offer
Because of misinformation sent on an e-mail to a school district office I was not offered a position as a Speech/Language pathologist (SLPs) even though it was recommended that I be offered a position. The e-mail message was sent by a former administrative intern who created a hostile working environment, which is why I left the district in the first place. Because of this an offer was not made as the District had be informed that I already had another job, which was untrue. Do I have any recourse against the individual. The district informed me that they had this e-mail when I threatened to file with EEOC. I am Hispanic.

Re: Prevented job offer
Sounds like a possible case of defamation. May be additional causes of action. Not sure, based on info provided, what this has to do with your hispanic heritage. Call to discuss Don Holben 800-685-6950
