Hi .. I started a new job this past September. The new place of employment also happend to be a past client of my prevous job. Now, 3 months later my old job has been calling up my new boss, demanding a headhurters fee ( when she refused that ) he tried anything he could to spike me and try to get me fired. From lying, saying I was a bad employee, that I left on bad terms, I didn't train my replacements etc etc.. all is lies, up till the point where they found out where I was working I was on a friendly terms with them ( even had a company cellphone, keys to the store, etc etc ) just came back from a trip to Las Vegas with my old boss. What can I do? how can I get my old employee from calling here.. help me!

Your former employer is engaged in conduct which could be the basis for a slander action [assuming the statements are false], and interference with contract [your new job]. At this point you haven't lost your job, so it wouldn't be worth pursuing a claim, but you may want to hire a lawyer to write a letter to your old boss, telling him that you will sue him if he doesn't knock it off.
