Legal Question in Employment Law in California
probation
I was recently placed on probation at work. The paper work was dated 1 week before I recieved any notice of any diciplinary action or wrong doing. I recieved no fair warning of any potential employment problems of any kind before my supervisor handed me a notice of probation. Does my probation start on the day I recieved notice of probation, or on the date that the letter was allegedly drafted, which appeared on the top of the notice (1 week earlier)? Please cite any cases or statutes that may be useful. Thank you.

Re: probation
CA law does not provide for probation of any kind, it is strictly a matter of company policy
