Promotion Raises

If I step down from my current position after doing it for 3+ yrs, is it legal for my employer to take away the raise I received at the beginning of my promotion?

Re: Promotion Raises

You did not indicate what has caused you to step down from your current position. If the reason is personal, the employer may reduce your wages. If, however, you sought a demotion because you were subjected to dangerous working condidtions or unlawful harassment, the reduction may not be permissable.

Re: Promotion Raises

Employers may giveth and taketh away. If your salary was based on the job you did and you are no longer doing that job, your salary may be adjusted accordingly.
