Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Prospective employer requires W2 and paystub
Is a prospecive employer allowed to require me to submit my last year's W2 and most recent paycheck stub in order to receive an offer for employment? I was informed by this prospective employer that this is a "common practive" in the Silicon Valley to ask for this information before an offer can be made.
