Legal Question in Employment Law in California
This question is about my wife's employer.
1. Is it legal for an employer to walk in one day and retroactively cut your pay; for a pay period that just ended? My wife worked pay period of the 1 -15 (before payroll was reported he notified everyone that there pay had been cut for the time they just worked.)
2. Is it legal for an employer to walk in one day and inform employees that medical insurance will no longer be offered at the end of the month. She was notified last week that she would need to find medical insurance for her and the kids.
