Legal Question in Employment Law in California

haven't received my accumulated vacation after termination

The dotcom company I worked for has ''shut down'' - not gone out of business. I was terminated on July 12, 2001 and asked for a check covering my accumulated vacation time of 4 weeks. The CEO says he has no money but when they sell the hardware he will give me a check. CEO went off to Europe for a three month vacation and is not selling any assets but he is signing new contracts for web service. I know he's receiving money. I've begged and pleaded for him to give me a portion of what he owes me so I can avoid eviction but he says there is no money. I've filed a wage claim with the labor board but even if I win a settlement it will not arrive in time to prevent eviction and bankruptcy. Am I completely screwed?
