Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I received an email from my future employer that I would no longer be able to substitute at the private school based on an email I sent out to teachers (asking them to request me for substituting). She Cc'd the email to the entire staff. Is there anything I can do?

Unfortunately, no. The future employer has a right to make employment decisions based upon team spirit, cohesiveness/divisiveness, etc., or for no reason at all. It seems pretty rash and nonsensical, though, to bar you from substituting at the school, as that is what is done at most schools -- i.e. soliciting full-time teachers to call when they plan to be out.
