Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Recourse Against Former Employer

Three years ago I worked for a subprime mortgage company. My manager at the time encouraged me to go to borrowers houses to collect documents and get signatures in places I was unfamiliar with. Down at one borrowers house while getting into my car I was shot at from close range. I did not sustain injuries, my car was damaged which the company paid to fix. Now and then I catch myself looking over my shoulder and have recurring nightmares of the event. I constantly play back the moment in my head. Do I have any recourse against my former employer for insisting that I go out to collect documents.

Re: Recourse Against Former Employer

It appears that you have a valid stress case against your former employer. Statute of Limitation may be a problem here. However, there are other factors that may toll the statute of limitation. Call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
