Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I was rejected on probation and was not given release on probation notification prior to letting me go yesterday, December 1, 2016. In addition, the Berkeley Unified School District (Employer) did not provide me with a separation package and did not give me the last pay check nor offered me cobra insurance. I also believe that I was wrongfully terminated in retaliation for cooperating with the State Auditor when I exposed the District for noncompliance in handling sexual harassment allegations.

It appears that your employer might have committed a number of technical violations that are likely not worth legally pursuing at least at first. You should contact the employer to find out the reason for delay with receiving your last paycheck and other materials.
However, if you believe that the real reason for your termination is retaliation, you should discuss your legal options with an attorney who should be able to look at your evidence and determine whether it's sufficient to make a case.
