Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Released from a 18 year job

I worked for a large telecommunication company as a management supervisor. I was released for violating the Code of business conduct, falsification in documentation. I had put a incorrect date and falsley put another supervisor name instead of mine. This was done by error because of using a copy and paste procedure. This person that I falsley used reported it to the company security and I was never approached or questioned regarding this by the employee or my manager. It did not have to go this far. I feel I was unfairly released, because I was not given an opportunity to defend my self or have anyone else speak on my behalf. I was suspended for 2 weeks 2 days I did not recieve any notification until 10/1/07 I was called in and released by my Manager. All I recieved was you are a good employee and loyal to your work, but that she would have to release me. That my final check will be overnited. It did not have to go to security, it could had been resolved within our office. Just that my manager was weak to speak up. Not any team work was applied in this situation.

It doesn’t appear that you state facts that would legally support a cause of action against your former employer. However, you should consult an Attorney to discuss your matter in more detail to ensure your legal rights are protected. Feel free to contact my office via phone/email.
