Legal Question in Employment Law in California

retaliation for employers wrongdoing

i was employed by a nationally known retail drugstore for 12

yrs. and 7 mos. i was terminated on 12/2003 for allegedly

violating company policy. my manager claims i had given a

former employee an unauthorized discount and that i had also

discounted merchandise for myself. she contacted loss

prevention and they came to investigate me. they did this by

#1,taking her word for it and #2,viewing a video taping of

me supposedly committing these violations. neither of these

allegations are true and i stand my convictions. i had a

good work record and i highly valued my position. while i

can offer explanations for both accusations,my real issue is

with how do i prove that what my mgr. did was not to protect

the companys assets but rather to protect herself against

any repercussions for her actions? i was a witness to a

handful of violations by her. i have already contacted

everyone you suggested in the agreement section in the

beginning. as you can see,i am running out of time to file a

civil suit or an appeal. please, i desparetely need some

answers. your assistance will greatly appreciated. t

This sounds like something Sav-on would do, was it infact sav-on? Unless you were NOT an at will employee, it is very difficult to pursue a case?
