Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I am retired Air Force and receice full medical benifits. My current employer offers health insurance but I did not take it since I am already covered. My question is can my employer pay for my retired insurance cost or in some way give me some of the money they are saving?

Ask your employer if they have a "cafeteria plan" or a pre-tax health care savings account program. If your employer has a cafeteria plan, you should get a little more in your paycheck by not taking the employer's insurance. If they have a medical savings account program, you aren't getting direct help with your retired insurance, but at least you can pay it with pretax dollars.
