retirement at 65
I will be turning 65 this year. If I wish to continue working beyond 65, can my employer force me to retire?
If I join a new company, and therefore have a new employer, can they terminate my services when I reach 65?

It sounds like you're referring to the so-called "mandatory retirement age" of 65, which generally is no longer valid. It is a violation of both California and federal law to terminate an employee over 40 because of their age. Accordingly, you may work well past age 65 if you wish. Keep in mind, however, that an employer can terminate you after age 65 for reasons other than your age, such as performance, absenteeism, etc..
