Legal Question in Employment Law in California

can salery employee be fired on his day or on vacation

My question is i was vacation and one of our fellow

store was closed to due to heavy snow fall on the roof

i went on my own time to help them remove the snow on the roofnad there where a few employees

from that store drinking a beer,now sence i am a salery employee and not getting paid because i was just volentering my time can i be fired even though

i did not drink any beer of if i did

Being on vacation is no protection from being terminated.
