Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Sales Quotas

I am an outside sales Rep. With a salary and Car allowance,

as well as all expenses back. This is the same for all the Sales Reps in the Country. It's a Canadian Company. Here's my Question. We have to hait a certin Dollar amount Befor our comission kicks in. or we call it a monthly ''Qouta'' Is it leagle for my quota to be higher than every oother Rep in the Company. We all have the same job discription same salary same demograpghics. I think it unfair that my Quota is $10,000.00 dollars higher than everyone elses. I have equal if not more experiance than most of the Sales Reps.

Do I have a case to get past money owed to me.

Re: Sales Quotas

It sounds unfair, but as far as I can tell, it's not illegal. They should expect more from you because you're more experienced, and morally they should compensate you for that experience. If there's a difference in the trigger point because of some discrimination -- i.e. racial, national origin, etc. -- that would be illegal.
