Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Scheduling exempt employees

Does the law allow employers to schedule exempt (salaried) employees to work six or seven consecutive days in a week? My employer understands that this is not allowed for hourly workers, but that it is permissible to do with salaried workers.

If it is allowed, why is this justified?

Yes. Exempt employees are not covered by the hours and overtime restrictions of the wage orders.
