Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I was in a school program which awarded me paid on the job training. My contract date were for 5/9/2011 thru 6/17/2011. I had signed that with the school. So the employer which agreed with the school to train me terminated me yesterday (5/31/11) before my end date. Can I sue the school or the trainer for breach of contract for the remainder dates that I was suppose to be there?

Well for starters that would depend on why you were terminated. I bet your contract with the school says your work must be satisfactory, and even if it doesn't, I'm pretty sure any court would find that to be an implied term of the contract. So if you were fired for good cause, you have no case. If you were terminated for no reason having anything whatsoever to do with you, then you might have a case against the school if they do not place you with another employer, but to be sure would require a review of your actual contract with the school. Since your contract was with the school, not the employer, I doubt you have a case against the employer, unless there was race discrimination or something like that involved.
