Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I am currently on short term disability but my FML has expired. I received a letter advising my employment would be terminated at the end of my disability claim. The letter was addressed Dear NAME and my manager dud not check mark the box indicating the reason I no longer have FML. Can I use the mistakes on this letter to force my employer to take me back? I'm in CA, if that matters.

This could be argued that this is a form of retaliation (for taking the leave) and so I would advise you to seek the advise of an attorney. You you be entitled to return but the facts are nokt clear if there are different reasons for the termination. Good luck. I hope this helps. Bob
