Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I signed a consulting agreement for a four month period of time with 30 days notice. I never received a copy back with the Company's signature. Is this agreement still valid?

Oral agreements are just as legally binding as written ones are. Of course, they are more difficult to prove, if one party claims they never agreed to the written terms. Although, Labor Code section 432 applies to employees, not independent contractors, try requesting a copy of the signed contract under that code section, which requires employers to provide employees with copies of written documents signed by employees to obtain employment.
