Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I signed a retention agreement, but did not get it notarized. The agreement had a space for the notary's signature, but for whatever reason I submitted it without notarizing it. It was countersigned by my boss. The ACCEPTANCE section of the contract just says "The Employee may accept this Agreement by signing it and returning it" and does not mention the notarization. Is this agreement legally binding?

Yes. If it is executed (signed) by both parties, it is a binding agreement.
