Legal Question in Employment Law in California
special circumstances
Dear Sirs:
I am trying to find out how an individual can have a law passed in the California legislature that would fall under some sort of "special cirumstances" category. I was irreparrably injured on the job 5 years ago. I was forced to quit and I was so ill that I did not file for disability retirement. I need that retirement badly. I know the statute says you have a year to file...I didn't. I couldn't I know this is hopelessly oblique, but I know that laws have been passed giving special recognition to persons with special problems in an attempt to rectify that problem (tax abatements etc). I think this is the only way I can get a retirement which I deserve. I don't know where to begin to research the process. Can you help? Thanks

Re: special circumstances
You need to contact your state assemblyman or state senator and ask them to sponser the law you want passed.
