Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I am a state worker If you are told to go home from work and that you are being place on paid leave are they supposed to tell you the reason they are sending you home. ? or can they just send you home with know reason!?

If not a furlough, you should be told why. You might check with your union about a potential grievance or other recourse.
