Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Statement

My work is being Sued and while the incident took place I was working. Since I am only an employee I do not know too many details about the lawsuit itself. But I am being asked to write a statement. I was told by my boss that I messed up big time. I don't understand how but regardless my question is do I have to write a statement? Can I legaly ask for a copy of the statement the other individual made before I make my own statement? Thank you for your help.

Re: Statement

There is I way we can know because I do not know anything about the situation. You should retain a lawyer who can advise you properly. The lawsuit is public info and you can find out by going to the court. You need an attorney.
