Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Statue of limitations
I was told I was going to be laid off from a company and was expecting it. At the last minute they gave me a termination letter to sign, which I did not. They also said I would get no lay off package. I thought I might have other possiblites right a way and did not pursue it legaly. How long do I have from the date of ''termination'' to pursue this legaly?
Thank you in advance.

Within one year you need to exhaust your administrative remedies...and then after you get your right to sue...you need to file the suit within one year of right to sue letter. www.lawyers.com/amyghosh
