Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Hi,

I come from a very successful background and have never done poorly. I started getting bad reviews from my bosses about 5 months ago. The criticisms were mostly very nit-picky things and I knew they talked about me a lot behind my back. I felt like I was constantly being watched and they were writing things down about me - little things like - On X date, you were 5 minutes late. Or, you didn't respond to this 1 e-mail until the next day. In our last review, they said that I was improving but not fast enough. I brought up the fact that it made me uncomfortable because I felt like they were tracking every little thing I was doing and not treating me as someone on their team. Their response was "You have a very strange response to fear?". I said, "what do you mean?". They said "Well, let me give you a metaphor? Imagine a guy is running after you with a knife. You'll run faster right?" I didn't know how to respond and have felt even more uncomfortable since. This is not to mention that since these poor reviews started I've been sleeping more poorly and experiencing higher blood pressure at work even though I'm only 26. This week, I started feeling like they might be gearing up to fire me and saw them speaking with HR. I am looking for advice on what I should do. I don't want to work with these people but I want to make sure they know/company knows that what they did to me was wrong.

You haven't described any legal wrong. I'd be looking for another job.
