Legal Question in Employment Law in California
taped without knowledge at work
Is it legal for a company to tape it's employees while they are working without their knowledge? I understand they may not be able to use the video in court, but could they use it to fire employees.

Re: taped without knowledge at work
Taping private conversations without one's knowledge is unlawful. Video taping, may be less intrusive, depending upon where it is done and whether the employee has a reasonable expectation of privacy.
