Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Terminated

I was terminated from my company today. I was not given my last paycheck. Nor will I be paid for any extra days that I worked. I was considered salary non exempt - no overtime pay. I would be scheduled to work 5 days a week but there quite a few times I worked or attended 3'hour meetings on my days off. Should I be compensated?

Re: Terminated

You are owed all earned wages and earned vacation on the date of termination. Failure to provide a check for earned wages & vacation subjects your employer to additional penalties. If you were properly classified as a salaried employee then you would not be entitled to any overtime, unless you were not properly classified. You should contact an employment lawyer and discuss your situation.
