Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I was terminated on July 13th, 2010. I worked for the County of Santa Clara. I was paid wages on the 15th of July by normal payroll deposit. Now, 3 weeks later, I am still waiting for $4000 of accrued vacation. When I called personnel, I was told that government employers in California are exempt from labor code requiring immediate "in full" payment at termination. Is this true? I feel as if I have no recourse. Thanks!
