Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I was terminated from smart and final on 2010 for job abandonment. I missed one day and called in but my co-worker didnt relay the message to the manager and the following day was my day off and the manager says I was terminated for job abandonment. I was rehired at smart and final march 29, 2013 and I went into work today and they said that they couldn't rehire me because I was terminated in 2010. They wasted my time and not to mention embarrassed me. I spent money on shoes for work pants and I had to borrow it. Now I can't pay it back. I am just curious if there is any legal action I could take.
