termination while on disability

I had an operation while on disability and after a month I received a letter stating that I was terminated and my medical will be paid till feb 2008 then i have to go on colbra. I am 59 years old and can't get me social till I am 67. Is this a legal with out a just cause

Generally, an employer may terminate an employee while on disability. Because it doesn�t appear that you had a disability, due to the fact that you state you had surgery I would suspect that your employer didn�t violate the law. However, we would need more facts about the employer and yourself before I could give you a more definitive answer. You should consult a employment lawyer.
