Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Termination w/o notice
How far is a company protected? And what about the employees rights? Is it legal for acompany to terminat w/o notice, to just walk in one day and tell you that you no longer have a job?

Re: Termination w/o notice
Most employees are 'at will.' This means loosely that a person is employed without a contract and as such can be let go at any time for any reason with or without notice.
If you do not have a contract and you were not let go for some illegal reason (such as on the basis of your age, race, or sex) then this is very likely legal and there is nothing you can do.
