Is a typed (not electronically signed)signature on a Word document printed out legally binding?

Not if it is a document that is required to be signed to be binding, but most contracts and other documents do not have to be actually signed to be binding, only proof of agreement is required, and a signature is pretty conclusive proof of agreement, but not the only proof. Some documents must actually be signed, however, and such a document would not be binding just with a typed name.
