Legal Question in Employment Law in California

unfair dismissal

I was recently let go and informed that my position was being retired . another person is now doing my job.Ive been with the company over a year and a half a coworker has been with the company for three months.I feel like I have been discriminated against . Do I have a good enough case based on these things alone?

I need to know more...how much were you making? What is your ethnicity, Nationality, Religion or age? How was your performence review? Any other reasons for letting you go?

-Based on the facts you gave, I cannot tell whether you have a case or not. For instance, is the person who replaced you younger, of a different race, gender, religion, etc..

-In the early 90's companies frequently used a "RIF" (reduction in force) to mask an illegal termination. Therefore, I would need to know more facts before giving a definite answer.
