Unfair Firing and Slander
I gave my 2 weeks notice to my employer and was then ''let go'' from the company on the same day. Then my New Employere recieved an ''anonymous'' Phone call saying that a I had killed a dog under my care ( I work as a veterinary technican) I am not sure if they need to funrish my with the reasons I was ''let go'' and copies of the complaints they say they recieved against me. Also if the current sutuation is legal with Someone making the phone call to make things harder for me.

While employers are not required to furnish a reason for terminating an employee, you do have the right to review your personnel file to see what they have put in it.
It is unlawful for an employer to blackball former employees. It is also unlawful to make false statements that can injure a person's reputation or character. The tough part is proving that the former employer made the statements.
You should meet with a local labor law attorney to explore ways to protect yourself.

You must right them a demand letter....They can not defame you like that !!!
