Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Unfair punishment
My boss dose not like me .One day i called late for emergency leave, he considered that i no-showed for work and he suspended me for a week while other employees did bigger mistakes but they were not suspended or punished. However , due the company was short of man power by that time , he first ignored it and considered that i just took emergency leave on that day as i claimed in my time card and stated on my pay check .About one month later when there was sufficient man-power then he turned back to the problem and decided to suspend me for noshow to work on that day.Is that right ?

If your emergency was due to a serious illness and you otherwise meet all of the eligibility requirements to be covered under FMLA, no what he did is not right. But you did not provide enough information to determine whether you are covered under the FMLA or its California equivalent.
