Does employer have to pay for uniform laundry service?

Possibly. If the uniform is distinctive and cannot be used for other purposes (i.e., everyday wear) and requires the use of a laundry service, the employer may be required to pay for such cost or to compensate the employee for 1 hour per week at minimum wage to pay for the cost.

If the uniform is a "wash and wear" that can be put in washing machine with your other clothes and requires no other work to maintain it, the employer might not have to pay any such costs.

If the uniform is wash and wear, but requires ironing or separate washing due to heavy dirt, soils, stains or its color, the employer may have to pay the 1 hour of minimum wage per week.
