Unpaid Overtime

I worked a reqular 40 hour week, 8 or more hours a day. My employer never provided me with a meal break. Can I sue my employeer for non compliance with California labor laws?

I forgot to add. in my previous reply. This is what you should do:

(1) Write you employer a demand letter for unpaid overtime wages (violation of LC section 510)

(2) Lodge a complaint to Labor Commissioner to get your unpaid overtime

(3) file a lawsuit:statute of limitation is 3 years.

Your Employer is obligated to give you one 30 minute break and two 10 minutes break in a eight hour workday. Try to bring this to their attention !!! If that does not work hire an attorney to put pressure on them...may be that will work!!!!
