Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Vacation pay for terminated employees during their notice period

I live in california. My contract calls for a nine month notice period. I am being terminated on Feb 29 and will receive my notice on the last date of employment, Does my employer have to pay me my vacation time that would have accrued during the nine month notice or just for the vacation time accrued up until this time.

Re: Vacation pay for terminated employees during their notice period

I am not really sure I understand your question. Your employer, upon discharge must pay all earned vacation to date. However, the vesting of the vacation depends on the employer's vacation policy.

Good Luck!
