Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Vacation pay after termination
I began working for a company in 6/06. Vacation benefits accrue from June 1st through May 31. F/T employees accrue two weeks of paid vacation for continuous work through the first through 5th years. I left in February 2008. I was not allowed to use any of my vacation benefits until 6/07. I feel I am owed vacation & I never got it.

Re: Vacation pay after termination
In CA, vacation is treated like wages. Once you have earned the vacation you cannot be divested of the vacation hours unless you use them or the hours are paid out. Upon termination or resignation the employer must pay all "earned" vacation to the employee.
Good Luck!
