Vacation time or unpaid

If I have vaction time at my job, and want to take time off do i have to use my vacation or can I take it unpaid? If work says I have to use my vacation time what do i do?

Re: Vacation time or unpaid

Time off and use of vacation pay is based on company policy. If the employer says you must use your vacation days for time off then that is what you must do. There may be exceptions for illness or injury leave but generally the employer can require you to use paid time off.
