Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Vacation/Pay

I attended a funeral relating to a co-worker along with 9 other fellow employees with the same job classification as me. My boss was at the funeral as well. I was available by phone, and email and was in the same building as my boss. I was paid for the day. My boss has since accused me of being AWOL and made changes to my accrued vacation by manually taking a vacation day and charging it to the funeral day. Also, the other co-workers that share my job classification were not forced to use vacation. We are all non-exempt. Is any of this legal?

Thanks

Re: Vacation/Pay

probably not, but you only have claim to one day of pay and it might not be worth rocking the boat
