what is w2-contract? how does it work? what are the reporting responsibilities of the contractor?

W-2 typically refers to the tax form employees get at the end of the year, showing the earnings from an employer. This is distinguished from the 1099 tax form which would indicate the person is an independent contractor. I can only assume a W-2 contract refers to an employment contract.
