Legal Question in Employment Law in California
If my wages are being garnished for a student loan, can my employer charge me an additional fee each time that money comes out of my check? She said that the fee is a charge for having to write out an additional check for the garnishment. Also, that extra deduction isn't shown anywhere on any of my paystubs nor has she ever given me any type of receipt or document!
