so i wanted to know if an employer can pay you 7cents a mile and take the first 50 miles away if you are a passenger in a company car in ca and if you drive the company car you get 10cents a mile from the beginning

Under the law, the empliyer is to pay the driver of the private vehicle used for work purposes .55 per mile per IRS guidelines. That is the way such is done.
