Legal Question in Employment Law in California

''at will'' employment acknowledgement

i was given a contract to sign . i was also told my reveiw was turned in with a 3% raise ---but would not be processed without the signed contract ! this is word for word the contract : ''employment with the company, is at will. This term , at will, means that employment with the Company is voluntarily entered into, and that you are free to resign at will at any time, with or withot notice or cause. The term also means that the company may terminate your employment at will at any time, with or without notice or cause. This right to terminate employment with or without notice or cause also applies to decisions regarding other terms and conditions of employment including but not limited to promotion, demotion, transfer, compensation, duties and location of work.'' can they hold my raise , and more importantly , not give me a raise each future year for not signing this document ??? can they fire me for not signing this---i have worked here for 4 years ---without incidence --but was fired from two of the ''sister'' companies in the past , while in management
