Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Will pay for advice on how to collect a judgement

I received an ''Order, Decision or Award of the Labor Commisioner' from the California Labor Board on December 11, 2002.

The amount is for $10,692.15

I was informed by the Labor Board that the decision has now been recorded as a Judgement in the court system.

I want to take action to collect on the judgement. I would like to be advised on how to do a business assets seizure.

I am looking for someone to explain all aspects of what this entails and all angles to be aware of if I should proceed.

Will pay for your time.

Thank you,

Re: Will pay for advice on how to collect a judgement

Basically, you have to turn the judgment into a court-ordered levy against the employer's property. I would be happy to walk you through the basic process if you can call me tomorrow at (770) 534-1057. I will not charge you for the discussion, only for assistance in drawing up papers, which you will no doubt need.

I have to be in court tomorrow afternoon at 1pm EDT (10 am Pacific). I can speak with you either very early your time tomorrow morning (7 am your time), or in the afternoon (probably most any time after noon tomorrow).

E-mail me back at [email protected] if you are interested, and give me an idea what time you would like to talk, and I will give you a telephone number to call me.

Although I practice in Georgia, I am a member of the California Bar and have been since 1979.

Look forward to hearing back from you.
