Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I won a class action suit. (restaurant manager that worked me 14 hr days 7 days a week with no break and I got sick with lupus and he docked my check for missing work) ... like I said, I won. I got 2 check. One for being the lead person of the group and another as a part of the group. I got the first check, but the other one took over 6 mos to find me. I got it yesterday for the amount over $3000 and all taxes were taken out. but the check is dated back in December.... (void after 90 days) is that not still my money? I won the suit and I have the check... do they have to honnor it? I hope so. I am homeless, using friends computer. In and out of hospital and I have no money and very very sick... Lupus.
I put it under labor because thats the origin of the suit, but if I got the wrong law... Please pass along.
