Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Ever since I won my grievance against my supervisor in 2008, I have been retaliated against through my paychecks. Every month I was told that I was overpaid. I've always questioned this, but never received an answer, not even from my union. I was laid off by my employer in November 2010, but called back to work as a sub employee. Since I've been working, my first paycheck was deducted due to an overpayment from September 2010. While working as a sub employee I was denied work, and wages, however the wages were paid to me after I complained to personnel about the conduct of the employees . Since I complained, my payment was delayed, and not paid until the next payday. I had to constantly call to find out about my money. I was called to work the last days of August starting on the 29, and ending on September 1, 2011. I was scheduled to be paid on September 14th, however, I didn't receive a check as I was told again that I was overpaid, for the work I did in April of this year. Right now I'm working a new assignment, but won't be paid because my employer wants to continue to deduct the so called overpayment. I won't work for free, and I want to do something about this problem. What can I do?
